well, no grams left

...aside from my hubby's gram that i do think of as my own after close to 20 years! But a sad note, my mom called me the other day and let me know my aunt (dads sister) had left her a message on her machine. i knew right away why she called as she has not called or anything since i did not sign over the rights to my dad's estate to her, somehow she felt like everything was meant to go to her???? I don't know.

So....in the last 3 years we have had both my grandmothers, my grandfather, my step-grandfather, my husbands aunt...i think that is all....pass away. So many years with no family members leaving and then all at once, or so it feels. This was the gram that sadly i had not been too close with these past dozen years due to situations of both distance and with my dad. But she was a classy lady who lived in white shorts (with pantyhose) and always had her hair colored black and done just so (she was a former cosmetologist) and bright red lipstick. She loved big chunky silver and turquoise jewelry, and made the best vegetable dishes from her garden...and she loved her horses! RIP gram, may you have peace and be safe with daddy and gramps.

I am sorry to hear about the passing of your Gram. I know how it feels as there are not grandparents on my side or my husband's side left. Also, my dad and my husband's mom are gone. So my kids are almost grandparentless too!

The best thing to do is keep remembering all the good times and the funny moments. And, remember people are thinking about you!!

I am sorry for your loss. She sounded like a beautiful woman. Maybe you take after her with your work also?

As for my knitting bag in the background, it says Cloud Star... its a mini tote that came with a package of Cloud Star cookies (for our dogs)... great company!
