stuff and a dishcloth question...(#2)

The kids had a blast at the water park and all, completely sunburned! the day ended up a beautiful one. Not to jinx anything but this is looking like day 3 for gorgeous!!! (loving it, as is the garden!) I can hear my neighbor starting to do our yard. Sadly i have so much crap to do and hubby just hates doing the lawn. he also travels wuite a bit and for this reason our neighbor cuts and edges our lawn twice a month. he does not want to take any money from us but i have insisted on it. Our lawn takes a good 2-3 hours to do and i appreciate it. Gives him gas and beer money! He actually this year opened his own business doing lawn care and is really good at it, i have sent a few of my clients his way already and hapy to do so! Daughter just got home from school and is officially a junior (yikes) and starts college in a week (double yikes!) full time come fall for elec engineer. My smart cookie!

Well, question number 2 for the summer dish cloth swap!

Q:Share with us how you know that summer has truly 'arrived', or something that signifies the start of Summer in your world.

When the french doors can be left open and the furnace can be turned off! The garden is growing and i want ot don my shorts again! The sun tea is "perking" and salads look like heaven for dinner!

Hi there. I was trying to figure out where you were located. By the sound of things I figured you might be in my area, since you were so happy to finally see warm weather (despite today). So, are up North or on the peninsula?

Sorry about the book giveaway. I have a few more books I'll be giving away in the next few weeks. Stay tuned.

Is she moving out or commuting for those last two years?

Do you lose a daughter or gain another craft room (grin)?

your description of when you know summer is here made me grin. Sounds good to me too, though it's been too hot here for a couple of weeks already, I will be looking forward to cooler weather now, so I can knit better! yarn, and humid heat don't mix too well.

Mmmm, salads- sounds like summer to me!
Sorry your name got left off the list- I don't make the list, people add their names themselves to the Mr Linky. I just saw your goals list and link to the contest now... bummer- it doesn't look like you made it back to add your link to the Mr Linky Widget thing-ama-jig... it's a little different way of doing things, but it makes it easy for me, and for others to check out fellow bloggers' goals and such- last year I manually entered a ton of links in a post...
Anyhoo- there will be more contests- winter and summer goals contests and some upcoming giveaways when I get around to doing some yarn reviews... I have big plans...

Enjoy your summer,
happy knitting-
